Yes, Little Joe really CAN sing, but should he? The answer may surprise you when you learn that "Little Joe" is actually Joe Pesci (who sings under the name Joe Ritchie)! Pesci recorded this amazingly rare album for Brunswick Records in 1968, and despite his later fame, it was never re-released in any format.

On Little Joe Sure Can Sing, the future superstar (who, incidentally, was also once a member of Joey Dee and the Starliters) performs a variety of songs,
highlighted by three Beatles covers ("Got to Get You into My Life", "Fixing a Hole" and "The Fool on the Hill").
And what does Little Joe sound like? Well, in the liner notes on the back of the cover, Little Jimmy Scott and Billie Holiday are mentioned as influences.
You can hear echoes of their inimitable phrasing and tone, skillfully supported by Artie Schroeck's arrangements. The fact that we also hear the guy who shot Spider in the clubhouse in Goodfellas adds to the charm of this record.
