geb. 8. 10. 1932 in Atlanta - Georgia Record Labels: Smash, Starday, Nashville, Stop, Hillside, Cumberland, Canaan Pete Drake, ein Stilist auf der Steel Guitar, spielte schon so ziemlich mit allen großen Stars, angefangen von Wilma Lee & Stoney Cooper über Jim Reeves und Bob Dylan bis hin zu Ringo Starr. Ende der 70er Jahre arbeitete er auch mit Boxcar Willie. Zahlreiche Instrumental-L.P.s zeugen vom Können dieses Steel Guitar Virtuosen. Daneben hat sich Pete Drake in seinem eigenen Aulnahmestudio auch immer wieder als erfolgreicher Produzent betätigt und vie- len jungen, unbekannten Künstlern eine erste Chance gegeben.
