Lee, Amos As The Crow Flies (LP)

Amos Lee – As The Crow Flies is a distinctive 10-inch release issued by Blue Note in 2012. The EP features six tracks and presents Amos Lee in an intimate, acoustic-oriented setting. The tracklist includes The Darkness, Simple Things, Say Goodbye, May I Remind You, Mama Sail To Me and There I Go Again. The recordings come from the sessions connected with his Mission Bell album and offer a compact look at this particular period of his musical work. Amos Lee combines folk, singer-songwriter and rock influences with a direct and personal songwriting style, and this six-track release provides an appealing snapshot of that approach. The 10-inch format adds another reason for vinyl collectors to take notice: As The Crow Flies is a focused, stand-alone release rather than simply another standard album edition. For fans of Amos Lee, Blue Note releases and contemporary acoustic songwriting, this is a title worth keeping on the radar. If you are building a collection of Amos Lee on vinyl or simply enjoy discovering less common formats, this EP deserves a place on your wantlist. Don't wait too long if it is missing from your collection
