Bob Leaper And His Prophets
Der englische Orchesterchef gehörte Anfang der 60er Jahre in der britischen Armee als Korporal den Coldstream Guards an. Für deren Band, in der auch ein Musiker namens Tony Hatch spielte, bearbeitete und arrangierte er diverse Kompositionen.
Über Hatch, der später für das PYE-Label tätig war, kam Leaper ins Profilager. Neben Come And Join Us machte er mit einer Version der Titelmusik High Wire für die TV-Serie 'Danger Man' ('Geheimauftrag für John Drake') und mit der raren LP 'Big Band, Beatle Songs' (Decca) auf sich aufmerksam.
