Who was/is Pat LaRocca ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

Pat LaRocca
This son of Italian immigrants grew up in San Jose but relocated to the Los Angeles area in 1960 together with his friends, The Downbeats. His Bella output Rowena was written by San Jose legend Gradie Joe O’Neal (read more about him under his own name), who recorded LaRocca in April of 1960 on his own Jan- Ell label. Rowena is a medium teen rocker with much sales potential for the late spring season of 1959. Pusateri spent more financial resources on this release than ever before, using a San Francisco recording studio and designing the first Bella picture sleeve for its release. In the studio, LaRocca was accompanied by the house band, The Bellatones Orchestra, and a white vocal trio, The Savoys.
