Wilhelm Lang
Wilhelm Lang (1910-1971) begann eine Bäckerlehre, daneben nahm er Gesangsunterricht. 1931 gewann er einen vom Frankfurt Sender ausgeschriebenen Gesangswettbewerb, der ihm ein Bühnenengagement am Stadttheater Trier einbrachte. 1935 wechselte Lang zum Bielefelder Stadttheater, 1937 zur Wuppertaler Oper, von der er 1938 nach Berlin ans Deutsche Opernhaus verpflichtet wurde, dem Lang bis 1967 verbunden blieb.
