Produced by Jimmy Sutton (Pokey LaFarge, JD McPherson) at Hi-Style Studios, the album is an impressive showcase of La Botz's creative storytelling skills. Thoughtful, spiritual and often with a penchant for the absurd, the album's 10 tracks contain a story written from the perspective of a bank robber moaning gospel hymns as he heads toward a grisly end.

Singer / songwriter Jake La Botz grew up listening to music from the streets, bars, churches, tattoo parlors and movies. This features the various places La Botz has made a living from his music - including his time in New Orleans, the Mississippi Delta and his native Chicago.

Jake La Botz brings unique and unusual stories to life on his new album, They're Coming for Me. He skillfully weaves together the various influences of Chicago blues, gospel, rock'n'roll, American folk songs and a dash of country twang into a grooving blend of warm-sounding Americana music.
