Brunon Kryger
Brunon Kryger (1899-1951) wurde in Polen geboren. Nach dem Weltkrieg begann Kryger ein Musikstudium. Anschließend bereiste er als Unterhalter sein Heimatland. 1925 folgte Kryger einer Freundin in die USA, wo er seinen Lebensunterhalt zunächst als Mitglied einer polnischen Theatertruppe verdiente. Schließlich etablierte er sich als Gesangs- und Geigenlehrer in Philadelphia. Nachdem er als Organist und Chorleiter in Virginia gewirkt hatte, gründete Kryger ein Orchester, mit dem er sich auf Polka-Musik spezialisierte und viele Plattenaufnahmen machte.
