Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthicum are, in short, the duo Kacy & Clayton. The two are cousins. Together, they breathe new life into American folk music.
The two retreated to Canada to record the album. During the bitterly cold winter days, they recorded their album in an old meeting hall that had been converted into a studio. The acoustics of the venue were used to wonderful effect to maximize the impact of their minimalist musical concept: harmonious vocals, acoustic guitar, and Kacy's prominent voice, which critics often compare to Sandy Denny of Fairport Convention.
Modern Greenwich Village folk blends with the psych-folk sound of Linda Perhacs, Fleet Foxes, and First Aid Kit in their interpretation.
