Hailing from Leatherhead, England, this pop-art combo was known for their outrageous live performances and were excluded from a 1967 tour with The Who in Germany when they trumped The Who.

That same year, they released the Marc Bolan-penned single "Desdemona," which was banned by the BBC for its controversial lyric "Lift up your skirt and fly." On the other side of the pond, their American record company delayed the release of their album Orgasm for four years from the recording date because the Daughters of the American Revolution (yes, really) protested it.

John's Children were on the road for less than two years to annoy, but in that time they released six singles and an album, none of which reached the Top 30 on the pop charts. It wasn't until decades later that the impact they had on the music scene was appreciated by some of the "hip" and "cool" types, and the singles that didn't chart are now worth a considerable number of English pounds to serious collectors - Sir Timothy Trott.

All tracks remastered for vinyl in 2020.
Includes many tracks with young Marc Bolan on guitar and vocals.
Lead singer Andy Ellison will release his autobiography in 2021 and this release is part of a series of records related to that book.
