Who was/is Joe Jaros And His Orchestra ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

Joe Jaros And His Orchestra
Czech native Joe Jaros plays a key role within this label compilation. As a major band leader sponsored by Philip Morris Cigarettes, he had quite a career on his back when he got settled in Los Gatos, CA, nearby San Jose, in 1957. Jaros soon got involved in Bella Records. His timing was excellent,
meeting John Pusateri when his Bella label was dead with no exposure. Jaros helped out Pusateri in reorganizing Bella Records as a more modern label with plenty of good rock and roll releases, including one by himself with his orchestra and lead vocals by Michael Monte called Bon Bon
Baby. After awhile, Jaros parted ways with Pusateri and established his own Christy label in partnership with Pete Uharriet. Monte also recorded for Jaros’ Christy label, and a cover version of Bon Bon Baby by Jerry Coulston was released on Christy as well.
