geb. 1953 in Louisville/Mississippi Record Labels: Prize, Capitol, Sugar Hill, Columbia Erster Hit: She's Gone, Gone, Gone (1984) Carl Jackson ist ein Banjovirtuose, der vor allem durch die Glen Campbell Show bekannt wurde und der danach ein paar L.P.s eingespielt hat. Ab 1984 folgten ein paar Singles bei Columbia mit bescheidenen Hitparadenplatzierungen. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass Jacksons Banjospiel bisher weitaus mehr beeindruckte als sein Gesang.
