Record Labels: Challenge, Wrangler, Capitol, Decca, Liberty, Pickwick, GRT, Con Brio Erster Hit: The One You Slip Around With (1960) Erster Top Ten Hit: Evil On Your Mind (1966) Jan Howard, die ehemalige Frau von Songwriter Harlan Howard, wurde von Johnny Cash, Johnny Horton und Archie Campbell gefördert. Sie bekam einen ersten Schallplattenvertrag bei Challenge Records und sang im Duett mit Wynn Stewart in den 60er Jahren konnte sie eine ganze Reihe von Hitparadenerfolgen verbuchen, sie sang mit Bill Anderson im Duett und zog sich dann Anfang der 70er Jahre aus dem Music Business zurück, nur um Ende der 70er mit Johnny Cash wieder auf Tournee zu gehen. Größere Chart Erfolge blieben allerdings aus.
