Adolph Hofner, ein Gitarrist und Sänger deutsch-slawischer Abstammung, spielte mit der Western Swing Band von Jimmie Revard 1936 seine ersten Platten ein. Später von Ende der 30er bis Mitte der 50er Jahre leitete er verschiedene eigene Bands, mit denen er regelmäßig Platten produzierte, zum Beispiel mit „Adolph Hofner & His San Antonians“ oder „Adolph Hofner & His Texans“.
