Hi-Fly Rangers & Charlie Feathers HI-Fly Rangers Go Feathers! (LP, 10inch + 7inch EP, 45rpm, Ltd.)

Goofin' Records released the album and as a bonus there is a 7" EP with4 unreleased Charlie Feathers tracks found from Tapio Väisänen's stash of rare acetates. The recording session of Bubba Feathers playing his part at Sun studio and in his home was filmed and combined to footage filmed in Finland to make a music video of the song "We're Getting Closer".

The Story Behind Tracks A6, B6 & Bonus EP:

When Hi-Fly Rangers started recording sessions for this album, we contacted mr. Tapio Vaisanen - an enthuastic Charlie Feathers collector (thank you for all your help, Tapsa!) - as we knew he has some unreleased acetates of Charlie Feathers. The main reason was to maybe find some new songs Charlie didn't quite finish and continue the work. As we listened all these fabulous tracks, it was clear that we had to make some of those available to all you Feathers-fans as a bonus EP.
There was also couple unreleased full demo takes of Wild Side Of Life" with only Charlie singing and strumming his rhythm guitar plus Bubba on electric guitar. As Bubba and Wanda kindly gave us their permission, Hi-Fly Rangers decided to make an overdub work for the track B6. Kari on lead guitar, Jake on double bass and Vesa on rhythm guitar plus backing vocals. Tapio also opened us a door, and got us hooked with Charlies guitar ace on most of his great 70s tracks himself, his son Bubba Feathers.
For track. A6 the band recorded the background in Finland and Bubba finished his guitar licks on a legendary Sun Recording Studios, Memphis, Tn, where his dad also recorded in. 50s. We are thankful of Bubba's great work and friendship and hoping to make more work together in future.
