Paul Henckels

* 09 September 1885 - 27 May 1967

Between 1936 and 1945 the actor Paul Henckels plays under Gustaf Gründgens ("60's") at the Berlin Staatstheater. In addition, the Rhinelander shines in films, there will be about 200 in the course of his life. The role of the character comedian in the "Feuerzangenbowle" (1944) remains unforgotten. During the war years 1941/42, he recorded four songs in Volkston for the DGG in connection with films, which are now sought-after rarities. One is "Lachen und weinen", composed by Hans Georg Schütz.
