The GA-20 trio is spearheading the new blues revival. "We make records that we would love to hear ourselves," says guitarist Matt Stubbs. "It's our take on song-based traditional electric blues, which we love."

On Crackdown, GA-20's third album, the band creates an unvarnished, ramshackle sound that is at once traditional and refreshingly modern. Following up on their previous releases ("Lonely Soul" from 2019 and "Try It...You Might Like It: GA-20 Does Hound Dog Taylor" from 2021), GA-20 takes inspiration from the edges of the genre on "Crackdown," where early electrified blues first came together with country and rock 'n' roll.
