The Fireballs: Gunshot (LP, Orange Vinyl)

(Sundazed Music) 15 tracks - orangel vinyl, orginal sealed first pressing !

“Gunshot” digs deeper into the instrumental side of The Fireballs, bringing together a selection of lesser-known recordings from the band’s early years. Released by Sundazed Music in 1996 as LP 5018, the collection features 15 tracks, including “Gunshot”, “Yacky Doo”, “Rik-A-Tik”, “Dooop”, “Joshi”, “Carioca”, “Sweet Talk”, “Sneakers” and “I Doubt It”. The album also includes alternate versions of “Rik-A-Tik” and “Gunshot”, plus “Find Me A Golden Street”. Rather than simply repeating the group’s best-known material, the compilation focuses on single sides, foreign-only releases and tracks that had not previously been issued in the United States. That makes “Gunshot” an appealing window into a less familiar part of The Fireballs’ catalog. Their crisp, guitar-led instrumental style connects naturally with the worlds of early surf, rock’n’roll and American beat. A rewarding Sundazed LP for collectors and anyone keen to explore the deeper Fireballs repertoire.
