Lloyd Fatman Smith: Where You Been (7inch, 45rpm, EP)
Louisiana native Ollie Shepard is a veteran of the racing scene. In 1937, he and his Kentucky Boys recorded his first major blues hit for Decca, the well-received "It's a Low Down Dirty Shame." Two decades later, his latest releases target the youthful rock 'n' roll market. He returned to OKeh, releasing for the Gee and Johnson record labels in the Big Apple in a variety of hepcat-friendly styles.
