Recorded with the Fuentes hit production team of Isaac Villanueva and Hernan Colorado, "Sabroso bacalao" (1977) is a brilliantly diverse album with the fiery piano of Hugo Molinares. With joint vocal tasks between Adolfo Echeverria, Freddy Cruz and Manuel Cassiani, the LP contains hot, driving hardcore salsa tunes as well as some cumbia and porro and cuts in Afro-Cuban orange rhythm and cumbele style.

The record produced the hit 'Fantasia Marina', but in recent years Noches de cumbia' and the title track have become tropical DJ dance floor standards.
