geb. 26. 3. 1955 in Lake City - Tennessee Record Labels: RCA Erster Hit: l'm lnto The Bottle (1979) Dean Dillon gehörtzu jenen Musikern und Songschreibern, die zu tausenden alljährlich nach Nashville kommen und ihr Glück versuchen. Und Dean Dillon hatte Glück. 1973 war er zum ersten Male in der „Music City USA“, mit ein paar Songtexten in der Tasche und einem Job als Tank- wart. Doch überall Fehlanzeige. Beim zweiten Anlauf 1976 hatte er mehr Glück. Er brachte seine Songs an den Mann bezw. an die Frau. Barbara Mandrell, Johnny Rodriguez, Jim Ed Brown und Helen Cornelius waren erfolgreich mit den Songs von Dean Dillon. Dann bekam er einen Vertrag bei RCA und hatte seither kleine bis mittlere Hits. Mit Gary Stewart hat er zwei Duett-L.P.s eingespielt.
