MÜNCHNER SONGGRUPPE
"So that the social-democratic, the non-party and the communist workers may find unity of action." (Armin Cullmann, Works Council)
The album 'Lehrlinge zusammenhalten' was the 'record of the month' of the magazine 'Sing In' in January 1972. "An exemplary agitation plate" was the reason given. "Seventeen songs on two record pages: seventeen uncompromising, hard, clear, yet not unfunny statements on the situation of the working class under capitalism, especially on the situation of apprentices. In addition to Dieter Süverkrüp, Floh De Cologne, Hannes Stütz, Interpol, den Conrads and Vorschlaghammer, the Munich song group was also represented on the LP. Apprentices, young workers, pupils and students had joined together in this group from Bavaria. The cover text of their LP 'Wenn's nach dir ging' read: "[They] reach into the strings and say and sing their opinion. The songs are the result of daily experiences in companies, schools and universities and are intended for all those who learn and work". The album of the Munich Songgruppe was published by pläne in their publishing series 'Serie Sieg', whose motto was: "Our epoch is the epoch of transition from capitalism to socialism. In the struggle against imperialism three powerful forces of the present unite: the socialist world system, the international working class and the national liberation movement".
