Who was/is Dicke Lippe ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

Dicke Lippe / Geier Sturzflug

"With a not brand new, but strong Pott-Reggae forward to the ramp" (Frank Baier)

In March 1983, the single shot gross national product like a rocket to number 1 in the charts of TV and radio stations. However, the song was sung by the national product as early as the end of the 70s - in the Folkclub Witten. There the Spontiduo Dicke Lippe from Bochum, which later became Geier Sturzflug, sang with snotty Ruhrpot language and a lot of humour against performance pressure and establishment. Under the title 'Jagdfieber' Trikont released the first LP by Dicke Lippe, of which 1000 copies were sold. The change of name from Dicke Lippe to Geier Sturzflug is said to have taken place in the kitchen of Hildegard Doebner, the founder and 'good soul' of the Witten Folkclub, who died in January 2000, as singer and guitarist Friedel Geratsch, who was also a member of the Witten Folkclub: "... then we call ourselves Geier Sturzflug, kommt einfach besser." (Geier Sturzflug, crash flight, comes simply better). After the success with the new admission of gross national product, Geier Sturzflug also came into the charts in 1983 with the title Visit Europe (while it still stands) - at the height of the discussions about the neutron bomb and the stationing of Pershing missiles.
