Danny & The Juniors emerged in the mid-'50s as a rock'n'roll-influenced doowop group
They recorded a song called “Do The Bop” which, with the contribution of American Bandstand producer and emcee Dick Clark, became “At The Hop”, giving them a #1 US chart debut in 1957 and establishing one of the most memorable and iconic musical milestones of the rock'n'roll era. They had several more hits over the next five years before the British Invasion eclipsed their career.
