Oktober 1996 in Houston Record Labels: Columbia, Old Timey Ted Daffan, ein bekannter Komponist und Steel Guitar Virtuose, spielte in den 30er Jahren mit sehr vielen bekannten Bands, darunter die Blue lslanders, die Blue Ridge Playboys und die Bar-X-Cowboys. Später hatte Daffan auch seine eigene Band, die TeXans. Ted Daffan war auch jener Komponist, der 1939 den allerersten Truckersong, den ,Truck Driver`s Blues, schrieb. Auch später war er als Komponist noch sehr erfolgreich mit Hits wie ,Born To Lose,No Letter Today, Tangled Mind und ,Blue Steel Blues.
