Lowdown Ways is a quantum leap for Daddy Long Legs, the New York blues trio known and loved for their straightforward roots sound and in-your-face intensity. Daddy Long Legs toured in her hometown and country as well as in Germany with The Damned, Blackfoot Gypsies, Hurray for the Riff Raff and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Due to these gigs a wide fanbase has formed. Musically, the band on Lowdown Ways offers a varied spectrum, thanks to their producer Jimmy Sutton (bassist of JD McPherson), who contributed his musical and technical know-how. He gave this record its unique pub rock style combined with catchy jazz and blues elements.
