Cuby & The Blizzards Desolation (2-LP, 180gram, Expanded, Ltd., Blue Vinyl)

Before the band recorded their own material, they were Van Morrison’s backing band between his time with THEM and the start of his solo career. By the time their first album, *Desolation*, was released in 1966, the band had already swapped their R&B/pop sound for straight-up blues.

The album is a milestone in Dutch pop history. Harry Muskee, founder and lead singer, sadly passed away in November 2011. One of his final songs goes: ‘Time is running out, getting older every day. The only thing that’s left for us is to hit the road and play.’

This 60th-anniversary edition of *Desolation* is now being released as a comprehensive 2-LP set featuring the original 1966 album plus fifteen bonus tracks. The gatefold edition features tracks such as ‘Things I Remember’, ‘Stumble & Fall’ and ‘L. S.D. (Got A Million Dollars)’, is a limited edition on blue vinyl and includes new liner notes by the Dutch blues expert Johan Derksen.
