Sometime in 1984, the Cruisers were born (initially as the Southern Cruisers), followed by their first 7“ ”Hey Mr. Songwriter“, their first gigs and winning the ”Wuppertal Rock Promotion Prize“ in 1986. Within a very short time, the Cruisers played their way into the hearts of rock'n'roll and rockabilly fans, released their first studio album ”On Top" and, after two tours of Germany as support for the reunited Stray Cats, were probably the most popular band on the scene. Just in time for next year's anniversary - 30 eventful years with line-up changes and occasional, temporary break-ups - Wolfenstein Records is launching an ambitious series that will make the band's early work available on CD for the first time. It starts with the 1987 debut recorded live at the Haus der Jugend in Wuppertal-Barmen, where fans and newcomers alike will get their money's worth: When sifting through the archives, a lot of previously unreleased material has been discovered and so, in addition to the 15 songs from the original LP, “Cry For More” contains seven more songs with the complete first set of the evening (uncut and remixed!).
