David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash have always described their musical work as the result of the processes of change they go through. The album “CSN”, released in 1977, is about exactly that. Nash contributed the top ten hit “Just A Song Before I Go”, “See The Changes”, “Fair Game” and “Dark Star” are among the best Stills songs and Crosby wrote three classics with “Shadow Captain”, “Anything At All” and “In My Dreams”. Nash's “Cathedral”, the memory of an LSD trip in Winchester Cathedral on his 32nd birthday, also remains unforgotten.

“CSN” is the last album on which the three musicians take on all the vocal parts - and this at the height of their vocal artistry. Only Fleetwood Mac's “Rumours” was able to overtake it in the charts at the time.
