"Dam Crary"

geb. 29. 9. 1939 in Kansas City - Kansas Record Labels: American Heritage, Rounder, Sugar Hill Dan Crary, Sänger, Gitarrist und Doktor der Theologie, gehört zu den ganz wichtigen Gitarrenstilisten der modernen Bluegrass Music. Obwohl er immer mehr zur Solo-Gitarre tendiert hatte, wirkte er bei der Gruppe Bluegrass Alliance mit und traf 1974 Byron Berline, mit dem er zusammen die Country-Rock-Gruppe Sundance gründete. Daneben produzierte er immer wieder seine eigenen Platten, nicht unbedingt Bluegrass, sondern ganz einfach akustische Country Music. Als Sundance aufgehört hatte zu existieren, schlossen sich Fiddler Byron Berline, Banjospieler John Hickman und Gitarrist Dan Crary zu einem Trio zusammen. BGH nennen sie sich kurz und spielen moderne Bluegrass Music, virtuos, doch ohne avantgardistische Experimente .
