Billy Ritchie, the band's organist, was particularly influential, as he was one of the first to take on a prominent role as a keyboardist, setting a precedent for future musicians in the genre. The album was critically acclaimed upon its release and was named “Album of the Month” by Melody Maker in September 1969. Despite its initial success, the band struggled with commercial recognition, and their innovative approach was not widely appreciated at the time. In retrospect, however, Scrapbook is considered a seminal work that laid the foundation for the progressive rock movement. The newly remastered version of Scrapbook offers a new audience the opportunity to discover this groundbreaking work.
