Tony Christie proudly announces his first new album in over 12 years: "We Still Shine".

With this album Tony returns to his love of country music. Something he has been planning for many years with his longtime producer and close friend Graeme Pleeth.

"We Still Shine" is an album made with passion and determination. Planning began shortly after his dementia diagnosis in 2021. Tony says: "I loved every minute of recording this album. This album is very special to me and has been a few years in the planning."

To celebrate the release of the new album, Tony will be touring Europe to perform the new album alongside his greatest hits.

Geboren am 25.4.1943 in Conisborough - England Nach langen erfolglosen Jahren und Versuchen lernte Tony Christie seinen heutigen Manager Harvey Lisberg kennen, einen Mann, der sein Handwerk versteht. Er sorgte dafür, dass das Hitfabrikantenteam Mitch Murray und Peter Callander Tonys Songs schrieb. Was folgte, war das, was man gemeinhin eine märchenhafte Karriere nennt. „Las Vegas', „I Did What I Did for Maria', „Amarillo', „Don't Go Down To Reno' und „Avenues und Alleyways' wurden Superhits. Das Album „With Loving Feeling' schlug ein wie eine Bombe. Tourneen durch Deutschland, Frankreich, Belgien, Holland, Italien, Spanien, Jugoslawien, Schweden und die Schweiz machten ihn in ganz Europa bekannt. Auch in den USA zählten seine Fans bald zu Millionen. Er trat auf bei den Song-Festivals von Split, Tokio und Bulgarien. Im Januar 1973 war er Gaststar der Midem-Eröffnung in Cannes. Kein Wunder, dass Tony auch zu den beliebtesten Gästen in den internationalen Fernsehshows gehört. Doch nicht nur sein Publikum feiert Tony. Auch die Schallplattenindustrie überhäuft ihn mit Ehrungen. So erhielt er zum Beispiel in Spanien für „Amarillo' 1 Goldene Schallplatte und den „Ole de la canzone'. Die Hamburger TELDEC überreichte ihm für 1 Mill. verkaufter Schallplatten 1 Goldene Langspielplatte. Insgesamt sind von Tony Christie über 6 Mill. Scheiben über den Ladentisch gegangen.
