Kid Burbank – Madison Rocket

At about the same time John F. Kennedy planned that trip to the moon, the worldwide Madison dance craze started. Madison Rocket is an obscure release on the German Brunswick label. Kid Burbank is a pseudonym for the Berlin, Germany-born violinist Helmut Zacharias. Zacharias started with jazz and boogie in the post World War II years, and turned his sound into smooth pop instrumentals over the years. He recorded madison and twist dance instrumentals on Polydor and Brunswick, mainly for the Dutch and Belgian markets, using the pseudonym Kid Burbank during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Madison Rocket was issued on Brunswick GER 12984 in October 1962.
