One of the top drummers from the US west coast. He's a member of the Fabulous Thunderbirds. This solo album's a retrospective view over twenty years as a professional. When he was 20 he played drums in Mark Hummel's band. Aged 21 when he got hired by the Piazzas. Later he moved on to join the T-Birds. An impressive career, especially regarding his young age. These recordings were donated by his friends. Most takes are live recordings recorded off the front mix console. The sound quality usually is surprisingly good. Part 2 of the recordings are studio demo recordings. All the cuts were previously unissued. Great stuff including extensive solo work from Alex Schultz and Junior Watson. This set should make fans of the T-Birds and the Flyers very happy. Anybody who loves high-quality blues from the west coast will appreciate this release.
