The Blue Grass Boogiemen have something to celebrate. For twenty-five years they have been offering “high-energy bluegrass at its finest”.
The fact that they have been on the road for 25 years naturally calls for something special to celebrate this. The choice fell on an album for which the Boogiemen invited various well-known Dutch colleagues to 'bluegrass' their own song. An impressive and varied list of guest singers came together, including Freek de Jonge, Tim Knol, Ernst Jansz, Bennie Jolink, Blaudzun and Dave von Raven. One song from each of these artists was selected and adapted in the inimitable Boogiemen style, leading to extremely captivating results.
For 25 years, the Blue Grass Boogiemen have stood for the best that the Netherlands has to offer in terms of authentic roots music. It is not without reason that they have been called the ambassadors of bluegrass.
