Who was/is Johnny Bell ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

Even though he hailed from Wellesley, Massachusetts in the Northeastern U.S., Johnny Bell had a firm grasp of rockabilly’s innate excitement. Born John Chico Balboni, the lad revived Big Joe Turner’s rousing ’55 R&B hit Flip Flop And Fly on one side of his lone Brunswick single (cut January 5, 1959 and out that August). For its B-side, Bell busted out a teen angst-loaded The Third Degree bearing the same raspy wildhair vocal attack, a slashing guitarist matching his intensity.
