The Jimi Barbiani Band is the current project of Italian blues-rock slide guitarist Jimi Barbiani, who is considered one of the best in his field in Europe. His style is shaped by the influences of Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Free, and Gov't Mule. The band’s unique sound emerges from the interplay of its members’ distinct personalities.

A driving rhythm section lays the foundation for the maestro’s brilliant and impressive guitar playing. The band’s three albums (“Back On The Tracks,” “Blue Side,” and “Boogie Down The Road - Live!”) sold very well not only in his home country but also found fans in the U.S. Videos of Jimi Barbiani sometimes reach over 500,000 views. Before the band heads back on tour through Europe in the winter/spring of 2026—with several festivals on the schedule—the new album “Still In Love” will be released on CD, vinyl, and, of course, digitally. The centerpiece of the album is the nearly eight-minute version of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Here, Barbiani pulls out all the stops—the genius from Minnesota would have loved it. But JBB also masters quieter and gentler tones, as the dreamy acoustic instrumental track “Little Martha” demonstrates. The initially slightly sluggish “Spend Me Your Light,” on the other hand, exudes plenty of Southern vibe, while “We Must Dream” pays homage to the boogie—somewhere between Canned Heat and ZZ Top.
