The quartet from the Rhineland has been around since 2018 and has already made its way live from the Netherlands and France to Spain. This is certainly also because it brings together established representatives of the young rhythm and blues scene. As “Cocks,” the Casanovas form the backing band for the highly acclaimed singer and pianist Cat Lee King (Cat Lee King & His Cocks) and have thus often thrilled audiences on the scene before.

Tommy J. Croole (vocals, guitar), Sidney Ramone (rhythm guitar, percussion), Lucky Luciano (double bass), and Rene Lieutenant (drums) have recorded a good mix of classics and original compositions on “Backyard Stomp,” with great nonchalance, enthusiasm, and passion. Between Hound Dog Taylor and Hasil Adkins, the band strikes an authentic, gritty tone that is otherwise only found in a few high-class bands such as The Kokomo Kings. A wonderful debut!
