Svend Asmussen
Der Däne (geboren 1916 in Kopenhagen) war neben Helmut Zacharias in den 50er Jahren Deutschlands bekanntester Jazzgeiger. Im Lauf seiner Karriere spielte er u. a. mit Fats Waller, den Mills Brothers, Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Benny Goodman, Toots Thielemans und Duke Ellington. In Deutschland wurde er auch durch das Trio Swe-Danes mit Alice Babs und Ulrik Neumann bekannt.
