Herb Alpert: What Now My Love (remastered) (LP)

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass – What Now My Love is one of the best-known albums by American trumpeter Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass. Originally released in 1966, it blends instrumental pop, easy listening and Latin jazz into a distinctive sound built around bright brass arrangements, memorable melodies and lively rhythms. The title track, What Now My Love, opens the album, followed by Freckles and Memories Of Madrid. The remaining selections are It Was A Very Good Year, So What’s New?, Plucky, Magic Trumpet, Cantina Blue, Brasilia, If I Were A Rich Man, Five Minutes More and The Shadow Of Your Smile. The album represents the popular instrumental sound of the 1960s and remains an important release in the Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass catalogue. This 2016 reissue was remastered from the original analogue tape mixes and pressed on 180-gram vinyl.

"Herb Alpert"

Geboren am 31. 3. 1935 in Los Angeles, USA. Trompeter, Komponist, Arrangeur. Internationale Alpert-Hits waren “Taste Of Honey” (1965), “This Guy’s In Love With You” (1968) und “Jerusalem” (1970).
