They both like to call themselves'The First People' when they are in an interview. They are not the first on the German music scene, but they are one of the most successful German vocal duo. Married since 1972, they had met years ago in Paris, where Eve tingelte after her escape from Czechoslovakia as a singer and Adam (real name Hardy) with his band.

Eve had been trained as a classical ballet dancer in Czechoslovakia, and had also studied classical singing. Adam had visited the conservatory in his hometown Stuttgart and played piano, bass and clarinet. After getting to know each other, they decided to continue as a singing duo. Eve had already taken part in a singing duo before, so the current Adam is the second. Adam and Eve are convinced that many young people have a penchant for romance again.
