One look at the axe-wielding marauder (drawn by famous heavy metal illustrator Edward Repka) on the front of this album is enough to know that it's not for the faint-hearted. The musical assault of Canadian metal band 3 Inches of Blood (an apt term indeed) featured a unique dual vocal line-up: Cam Pipes on "clean" vocals and Jamie Hooper on "shrill" vocals, plus bludgeoning guitars (okay, axes) from Sunny Dhak and Bobby Froese (Dhak, Froese and drummer Matt Wood left the band after this album to form Pride Tiger). Although this album was released in 2004 on the Roadrunner label, it wears its affiliation with '80s metal on its sleeve, recalling the vein-popping intensity of Judas Priest and Accept.
