The quartet from Catania and Palermo around lead singer and guitarist Vince Mannino is not new in the scene, not only Mannino is known since the late 70s in Italy as the representative of the first Rockabilly revival, also his comrades-in-arms on double bass, drums and acoustic guitar are long-time members of the scene.

With twelve swinging original compositions that cover the rockabilly terrain of the 50's from the classic Memphis sound to lively DooWop Rock'n'Roll to a touch of Late 50's Desperate, the band is in top form. Beautifully designed artwork by Gito Lima.

Vince & The Sun Boppers

Italienische Vier-Mann-Band mit einer gemeinsamen Leidenschaft.
Der authentischen Klang der 50's Rockabilly und Rock n Roll.
Der Name der Band erinnert an ihre Heimat, die sonnige Insel Sizilien, ist aber auch ein Tribut an den großen Einfluss, den diese Rockin 'Männer aus dem Klang der Memphis-basierten Records Company "Sun Records" in den fünfziger Jahren hatten.
Die Band begann im Jahr 2014 mit der Veröffentlichung der ersten 45 RPM "Sunstroke", die vom spanischen Label "Sleazy Records" produziert wurde, folgte 2016 mit der CD "Gone for Lovin", die von "Rhythm Bomb Records" veröffentlicht wurde und mit diesem Label das EP fortsetzte "Teufelaugen".
Im Jahr 2017 hatte die Band eine neue Version, eine CD und 10 Zoll "Spinnin 'Around".
