After releasing the final installment of his The Desert Trilogy EPs in 2021, Scottish troubadour Dean Owens introduces his new album Sinner's Shrine in 2022.

The album, he says, is the latest stop on a lifelong journey - from the post-industrial climes of Scotland to the untamed expanses of the American Southwest - in which Dean indulges in the heady sounds of the U.S. desert states, with themes of love and lust, sinners and saints, exiles, wanderers and frontier spirits.

And so for the recordings this time he also went to the USA, more precisely to Tuscon in Arizona, where he recorded for the first time with the local Calexico and a strong band consisting of Kevin McGuire (Eddi Reader Band), Craig Ross (Broken Records / Whisky Hearts), Stuart Brown (Blue Rose Code) and Neil Weir (OMD).
