Geboren am 26. 8. 1927 (andere Quelle: 13. 8. 1926) als Reginald Brentagne in Bombay, Indien. Kam 1947 nach England, wurde britischer Staatsbürger. Nach dem Gewinn eines Talentwettbewerbs arbeitete er ab 1949 als Sänger der BBC Showband unter der Leitung von Cyril Stapleton. Plattenveröffentlichungen des Balladen-Crooners auf Columbia seit 1952, darunter acht Hits (bis 1959), zum Beispiel ”Walkin' To Missouri, "Make It Soon", ”GotYou On My Mind", ”Cindy, Oh, Cindy", "Why Should I Be Lonely". Siedelte zu Beginn der 60er Jahre ins australische Sydney über (Singles auf dem Festival-Label), wo er am 19. 6. 1993 nach einem Herzinfarkt verstarb.
