Rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson was red-hot in Japan in 1959, riding high on the strength of her torrid hit Fujiyama Mama. Maybe that's why Capitol's Japanese imprint unleashed a 10-inch compendium of some of Wanda's hottest rockers at right around the same time, including Mean Mean Man, Money Honey, Long Tall Sally and Party as well as the aforementioned Fujiyama Mama.
Bear Family has gone the extra mile to render its reissue of the ultra-rare platter authentic, right down to the clear plastic coating encasing the sleeve.
The one visible change is a welcome one: a pair of bonus tracks, Cool Love and Baby Loves Him. The LP is only available by mail order via the website bear-family.com, and is limited to 1,000 copies, the first 500 on coloured vinyl.
