BILL HALEY AND HIS COMETS CRAZY MAN, CRAZY Due on 24 February, this Bear Family Vinyl Club Exclusive is an exact reproduction of a 10-inch LP first out on the Australian London logo. Although it first came out in 1957, London reached back to Haley's early-'50s pre-stardom sides for Dave Miller's Essex label, which swung like crazy with Haley's country roots still shining through. The title track was a 1953 hit; Haley's cover of Rocket '88 is here, too, along with Rocking Chair On The Moon, Real Rock Drive and Farewell, So Long, Goodbye. These are some of the purest examples of Haley's proto-rock'n'roll brilliance.
