Norman 'Hurricane' Smith
Norman Smith, also named 'Normal Smith' and 'Hurricane' Smith genannt, was a British musician, sound engineer and music producer. Born on 22 February 1923 in Edmonton, London, England; died on 3 March 2008 in East Sussex, Great Britain. He became known as the sound engineer of The Beatles and later as the producer of Pink Floyd. Between 1971 and 1975 he recorded and produced two albums in his own rights as Hurricane Smith, 'From Me To You' and 'Don't Let It Die'. He is also the founder of the record label Harvest Records.
