Who was/is Ronnie & Roy ? - CDs, Vinyl LPs, DVD and more

Ronnie Saunders and Roy Lyons teamed up to sing rock and roll duets for Capitol in 1959. First-call Los Angeles tenor saxist Plas Johnson was so much better known than the new duo that he rated label credit for his yakety solo on the Coasters-styled Big Fat Sally, their Buck Stapleton-produced debut. The ballad flip Here I Am, another self-generated original, was in more of a Robert & Johnny mode. Stapleton also helmed Ronnie and Roy’s encore that summer, coupling two more originals: You’re Gonna Be Sorry and the R&B floor filler Get Up And Let’s Dance
