John Lee Lair war einer der ältesten und fast schon legendären Country Music Produzenten.
Er war ein Radio Pionier beim WLS Barn Dance. Zusammen mit Red Foley und dem Duke Of Paducah baute er 1937 den „Renfro Valley Barn Dance“ auf. Er war Talent Scout, Impresario und Musikarchivar.
